The toolbar is compact on purpose: the everyday controls are always visible and the rest sit in the More tools menu. On narrow screens it collapses further.

Site-wide defaults#

Set the defaults for every viewer on Foliora → Settings:

  • Viewer defaults — Download button, Print button.
  • Toolbar — Search in document, Theme switcher, Share button, Keyboard shortcuts guide, Full screen button, Presentation button.

An attribute on a single embed always wins over the site default.

Other viewer features#

  • Selectable text and working links — the PDF.js text layer lets readers select and copy text; links inside the PDF are clickable.
  • Password-protected PDFs — the viewer asks for the password and shows “Incorrect password.” on a wrong try.
  • No JavaScript — visitors and crawlers without JavaScript see an “Open / Download PDF directly” link.
  • Credit link — an optional “Powered by Foliora” link under each viewer, off by default (Settings → Credit link).

Foliora Pro can move the toolbar to the bottom, reorder its button groups, change its colours and add your logo. See Reader look & toolbar layout.
