Start page, deep links and resume

Open a PDF on any page, link straight to a page with #page=N, and bring readers back to where they stopped.

Open on a specific page#

[foliora file="…/handbook.pdf" page="12"]

In the block, set Start page.

Add #page=N to the address of the page that shows the viewer:

https://example.com/employee-handbook/#page=12

While a visitor reads, the address bar keeps #page=N in sync, so copying the URL shares the exact page. Turn this off for one embed with hash="false" — useful when several viewers share a page.

Resume where the reader stopped#

Foliora remembers the last page each visitor read and reopens it next time. It is stored only in the visitor's browser (localStorage, key foliora:page:<file URL>). Turn it off with resume="false" or the block's Remember last page toggle.

Which page opens first: a #page=N in the URL wins; otherwise a page attribute above 1; otherwise the page the visitor last read; otherwise page 1. The hash also works as #foliora-page=N.

Foliora Pro syncs progress across devices for logged-in readers and adds a “Continue from page N” prompt. See Bookmarks & My Library.
