The share dialog

Let readers share the document — or the exact page — to X, Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, email or the clipboard.

The Share button opens a dialog with:

  • X (Twitter), Facebook, LinkedIn and WhatsApp share links
  • Email (opens the reader's own email program with mailto:)
  • Copy link — copies the page address, optionally with the current page

Privacy#

The dialog only builds links. Nothing is sent to any network until the reader clicks one; then the page address (and for X and WhatsApp, the document title) goes to that network in the link. No social scripts or tracking pixels are loaded.

Turn it off#

  • Site-wide: Foliora → Settings → Toolbar → Share button.
  • One embed: [foliora file="…" share="false"].

Shared pages look better with a cover image. Foliora can use the PDF's first page as the social preview — see Social preview & schema.
