Reading themes: light, dark and sepia
Set the default theme for a site or a single embed, and let readers switch with the theme button.
Foliora has three reading themes for the viewer and its toolbar:
LightBright and neutral. The default.
DarkComfortable at night and on dark websites.
SepiaWarm paper tones for long reading.
Set the default#
- Site-wide: Foliora → Settings → Viewer defaults → Default theme.
- One embed:
[foliora file="…" theme="dark"].
The theme button#
The toolbar's theme button lets readers switch. Their choice is saved in their own browser (localStorage, key foliora_theme) and used the next time — nothing is stored on your server.
Hide the button site-wide with Settings → Toolbar → Theme switcher, or for one embed with theme_btn="false".
